Welcome to the first news E-letter of 2011. Following on from great 2010 year we expect 2011 to be a much bigger and more exciting year Today we have several exciting things to tell you about today.

 Please take a look at the revamped Formula Classic website which is new for 2011

1. Announcing Go-Gear as the Formula Classic handicap series major sponsor for 2011 which will be also supported by Jetty Constructions.

   There are a few items to edit on the web site so please do not enter just yet.
    
2. Formula Classic has 7 drivers competing at the New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing celebrating Chris Amon during January. Go to the FC website for more details and good luck to all those heading over.
    
3. WASCC Racing Matrix is now available. Who is racing when?

   Formula Classic will be racing at Barbagallo Raceway on the following dates
   March 12 – Think Alcohol Again night meeting
   June 26 – Historic Meeting
   August 7 – club race meeting
   November 27 – Think Alcohol Again club race meetingThe VSCC Collie Crown meeting is to be discussed at our next FC meeting on if it should be included in the series.
    
4. We are expecting several new cars to be joining us this year, including another Ralt RT 4 and an RT5 Super Vee.  At least two new sports cars including a Lola T596, a very nice MARCH 722 as well as some great group Q and earlier cars.
    
5. Formula Classic general meeting. This will be confirmed once competitors get back from NZ but a pre-season meeting will be called towards the end of February. 

That’s it, until the next announcement keep getting those cars ready!

7 Formula Classic Competitors and 1 JKL racer will be contesting the New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing celebrating Chris Amon during late January 2011. This event will be over 2 weekends.

Drivers – Bruce Edgar (Elfin), Kevin Taylor (Brabham), Andrew Gifford (GWG) , Neil McCrudden (Macon & Lotus), Glen Swarbrick (Macon) , Lance Carwardine (Jane) , Martin Bullock (Chevron) and John Rowe (CMW)
